  1. My favorite Lucha match of what I have seen thus far. The way they both worked every hold was just masterful.
  2. I can tell you that going into this, I primarily was exposed to major wrestling from the US. 2 years ago (before the project) I came across this board through the partnership with Place to be. It opened my eyes and I began to expose myself to wrestling. Now you don't have to like what I am about to say, but it is pretty much a reality and I am willing to bet that everyone in my position (whenever that was) would have probably done the same thing. Start with All Japan in the 90's. I have been around the "IWC" long enough to know that All Japan in the 90s is generally regarded as the end all be all to wrestling. I'm sorry I didn't start with Lucha. I did vote Lucha wrestlers on my list because eventually I got to some of it. I like Lucha, I just don't like it as much. Pretty simple. I haven't even begun to watch all of the Lucha I want to, because, time. I simply ran out of time. The 2 big styles that I didn't vote for were World of Sport and Shoot style. Sorry I just don't like Shoot style. I think Parv might have said it on his podcast (and I'm totally paraphrasing) that if he wanted to watch shoot style, then he would watch UFC. I kind of feel the same way. I'm sorry, I just do. I see it more as a great style that I would enjoy more within a traditional wrestling match. World of Sport is my biggest regret. I was only able to watch a little bit of it. 10 years from now, I probably would vote for some of the World of Sport greats because what I did see, I liked a good bit... I just didn't feel I watched enough of it to properly rank them. I hesitated to turn in a ballot at all. It wasn't until Steven's podcast, and Parv and Chad's that I made the decision to actually turn one in. If nothing else, it exposed me to some fantastic wrestling, so for that I thank everyone here that helped me out with that.
  3. As someone that's new to the board I can absolutely affirm the level of scrutiny that Flair got. Honestly it was one of the surprises that I had when joining.
  4. No, no one has come out and said it, but some of the comments suggest that this list is so extraordinary that they just cannot believe it. Forgive me if I have inferred this completely incorrectly.
  5. Is it possible that, perhaps, maybe, while the WWE style is viewed as the absolute worst thing to ever happen to wrestling by many here, that some people like it? And maybe it's possible that some people still like it even after exposing themselves to lucha, Japan, WoS etc. etc. etc. ?
  6. Oh what could have been, Barry Windham
  7. I didn't rate WoS guys, but only because I ran out of time. What I did watch I loved. I just don't care for shoot style. I just don't.
  8. 2 in a row. Tanahashi at 86 Cesaro at 87 identical to my ballot.
  9. I had Cesaro exactly at 87 on my ballot. HAHA!
  10. I probably would've been guilty of falling to some perceived "scott keith narrative" 10 years ago, but Chad and Parv's (and others) advocacy made me seek Garvin out. The advocacy worked on me in that I did enjoy those Flair matches, but maybe just not as much as others, that's all.
  11. I too subscribe to the theory that he went from vastly underrated to maybe a slight bit overrated. I think that is probably a pretty good placement for him all things considered. I personally don't connect with the guy but certainly understand both sides.
  12. Just watch Portland in general. It's wonderful!
  13. Hopefully him and Piper drop soon. With Dusty gone, we can go to the really good ones. Because really, inside the ring, neither of those three were much (Piper being the worst by far). Watch Piper in Portland in 1980 and you'll immediately change your mind.
  14. Couldn't rank him. That's just me though. I don't have problems watching his matches, but understand it either way.
  15. 81 left for the top 100. Lost 4 from my Top 50 though.
